“How many days ’til Christmas?” Have you heard this question lately? The next time you get worn out from being a human Christmas countdown clock, say this: How about a game of Christmas Bingo? With all the downtime over the holidays, it’s nice to have an option to throw into the mix that’s not screen-related or labor-intensive on Mom’s part. Christmas Bingo is also great for getting siblings to play something together.

Ready to play? Print out one Christmas Bingo card per person (we have six different ones). Print the bingo pictures and cut them into squares. You’ll put those in a bowl, and the caller (the one who pulls the squares out of the bowl) will pull them out individually to play the game. The caller can also play. If you want to use the cards more than once, grab something for the players to use to mark the squares instead of crossing through them with a pen or marker: dried beans, pieces of Christmas candy, or blank scraps of paper.

If you want to make Christmas Bingo even more enticing, have little prizes for the winner: a Hershey’s Kiss, “pick the Christmas movie” privileges, tickle mom for 10 seconds, a cup of hot chocolate, or a Christmas cookie. Want more fun Christmas activities? Here’s a Christmas Scavenger Hunt, Christmas This or That Questions, and the Story of Christmas in a printable version.

Here are some different versions to help you put the J-I-N-G-L-E in B-I-N-G-O.

Snow Out Christmas Bingo:

This version is called “blackout” in regular bingo. To win, players have to cover every spot on their card instead of just a row. (Use white paper to mark the spots and create a visual snow out.) You can use multiple cards to make this version last even longer.

Single Player Christmas Bingo:

In this version, the single player competes against the clock to see how quickly he can get bingo. The player pulls out the squares one at a time. When bingo is achieved, the player notes the time. In subsequent games, he can try to beat that time.

How Low Can You Go-Ho-Ho-Ho:

Another version of single-player Christmas Bingo is having the player see how many papers he or she has to pull from the bowl. The goal is to get bingo in as few pulls as possible.

What’s another version you like to play?

The mall—just thinking about it brings back thoughts of my teenage years. Meeting up with friends, spotting a crush, getting a cookie from the food court… Come to think of it, there wasn’t much shopping going on. The mall might not be the hangout it was when we were kids, but don’t discount it when you’re trying to come up with fun ways to pass the time with your kids. Your budget might scream at you to steer clear of the mall, but thanks to this mall scavenger hunt, you can spend some time walking store to store and escape with your budget intact.

It’s simple. Just print copies of our free mall scavenger hunt and break into teams. Be sure there’s one adult per group. Safety first! Announce the meet-up time and place (like the food court for a celebratory pretzel or slice of pizza) and say “go!” You’ll need one camera per team.

A mall scavenger hunt is a fun rainy day activity for families, but it’s also perfect for a tween’s birthday party. Grab a mom friend to help chaperone and then break into teams. The kids will love scurrying around, finding the items on the list, snapping photos, and being silly. No one will even mind that you’re not actually shopping. A mall scavenger hunt is an exciting way to get some steps in on a hot or rainy day, so not only is this hunt fun for the kids, it’s good exercise, too.

If you love scavenger hunts, you’ve come to the right place. We have more than 20! If your next vacation is in a big city, we’ve got a hunt for that! Camping? That too! Need a hunt for the holidays? We’ve got Christmas, Thanksgiving, even Valentine’s Day. And we haven’t forgotten about the little ones just learning to read. Happy hunting!

On a nice day, it’s a good idea to get the kids outside for a little fresh air. Some kids are easy to convince to go outdoors, while others need some coaxing. But giving kids our neighborhood scavenger hunt might be the right thing to get even the most reluctant child to lace up his shoes. And with this scavenger hunt, the goal is to go beyond the back yard and discover new things.

Kids are naturally curious! If they’ve already explored every inch of your yard and are itching to do something new, they might like to go for a stroll in the neighborhood. Our neighborhood scavenger hunt will give them purpose as you walk the dog or simply wander around the block. Print out a free copy for each of your kids, slip on your shoes, and go!

Make it a goal to find all the items on the list and then return home to celebrate with some lemonade or hot chocolate—because there’s no reason not to do this scavenger hunt in the cold months as well as the warm ones. The kids may need to bundle up, but that can make this adventure even more exciting as things just look different in the winter. It’s always a good idea to get active.

Don’t forget to bring pencils to check off the items you spot. Doing our neighborhood scavenger hunt as a family might give your kids a closer look at their neighborhood. If walking the neighborhood is too slow for your family’s speed, hop on bikes. But be ready for frequent stops. We have lots of items for you to find. Make some memories together, and most of all, have fun!

We have so many fun scavenger hunts on iMOM! Look for our photo scavenger hunt, our zoo scavenger hunt, and so many more!

Who said thumbing through your Bible had to be boring? iMOM’s Bible scavenger hunt printable is a fun way to grow more familiar with the scriptures and have a friendly competition within your family, small group at church, or youth group. Everyone’s a winner with this scavenger hunt because you spend time in God’s word.

We’ve made two different Bible scavenger hunts. The first option is great for a rainy day because all you need is paper, a pen, and your Bible. Or you can put kids in groups and make it an icebreaker at your next children’s ministry gathering or vacation Bible school. Challenge the kids to try to come up with the answer on their own without looking it up with the reference we provide. Doing that will help sharpen their memories. If they need to look up the answers, it’s still a win! They’ll get more familiar with the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the order of the books.

The second printable Bible scavenger hunt is an outdoor activity that will get the kids tuckered out as they use their brains and legs to find the items on the list. Each clue on the list will lead them to a different item to find outside. They can snap a photo and share what they scavenged when everyone comes back together.

If you love scavenger hunts, we have some for every holiday, vacation style (like camping, city sightseeing, or the beach), and special occasions. And if you want to partner our Bible scavenger hunt with other activities to build your child’s faith, check out our prayer printables. We have a printable prayer list to help your kids keep track of the people on their hearts, and our Praises for God printable will help grow their vocabulary and understanding of who God is.

A day at the zoo is always a fun memory for moms and kids. There are so many sights, sounds, and smells to take in. When kids see an animal they’ve only encountered in books or on a nature show, their eyes light up, and the world becomes a little more vivid. Next time you take your little one to the zoo, bring iMOM’s zoo scavenger hunt to add a fun activity to an already exciting day.

Our zoo scavenger hunt is simple. Print it (for free) and review the squares before you start the day. If your child can read, let him hold the paper and check off animals that have the features on the grid. If you’ve got a preschooler, remind her of what’s on the paper throughout the day and give cues like, “Don’t forget to look for an animal with horns and one with spots!”

A zoo scavenger hunt is a sweet way to make memories while helping your child sharpen observation skills, learn about animals, and work on reading. For kids who know how to write, you can ask them to keep track of what animal they find for each characteristic. Was the plant-eating animal a giraffe, a rhino, or that squirrel that scampered by on the sidewalk and stole some of your popcorn? What about the one that’s checked the “cute” box? Was that the meerkat, the koala, or the baby chimp? If you go to the zoo often, you can bring the printable and try to find different animals for each square on each visit. Who knows what corners of the zoo this hunt will take you to?

If you love the outdoors, you’ll love our camping scavenger hunt and our nature scavenger hunt. We have around 20 more scavenger hunts, so print your favorite today.

Looking for a new challenge that’s also a lot of fun? Try our photo scavenger hunt with your kids! It’s just like a regular scavenger hunt, but you get to take pictures of what you find. How fun is that? Little kids will love borrowing your phone, and if they already have their own, this will be a creative way to put it to use and also get the kids some fresh air.

There are so many ways to make the photo scavenger hunt work. It could be a solo activity for an older child or a group activity you can do with your kids. Just head out the front door with a smart phone in hand. Start looking for the items on the list, and when you find one, snap a picture. If you’ve printed off this scavenger hunt, you can let one child keep track of the items to photograph and cross them off as you go. You can also take turns snapping the pictures and posing for the camera!

Even though it’s a fun and easy activity to do in your hometown, it’d be fun to do our photo scavenger hunt while you’re on vacation or when you’re visiting the nearest city. Sure, kids will have access to a phone, but they’ll have their eyes open, looking around as you go. Having your kids pose in these pictures makes good memories too.

Our photo scavenger hunt is fun for families, but it’s also fun to do on teams. It would be a good activity for a kid’s birthday party or at a family reunion. Teachers and camp counselors can organize a photo scavenger hunt on a field trip or as a team-building activity.

The idea is to get kids moving and talking! Check out iMOM’s other scavenger hunts as well for fun in nature, in the city and more!

If your family loves to camp, you’re probably comfortable with boredom. It’s pretty much a staple of the camping experience. For parents, it’s the best part. There’s no schedule. No noise. Just nature. And it’s fulfilling to witness kids who typically rely on a screen or room full of toys keep busy with a stick and a piece of twine. Still, as camping experts know, you’ve got to be prepared. In case your kids get bored and need some direction on your next trip, we’ve created a camping scavenger hunt to bring along.

Our camping scavenger hunt is a perfect distraction for the kids while you set up camp or prep dinner around the fire. Better yet, get the kids involved with both of those activities and leave time for everyone to do the scavenger hunt together. Then, after a nice hike around the campground, sit together around the fire or stretch out in a hammock and relax.

There are so many wonderful benefits to camping together as a family, like having time to talk, sharpening your kids’ observational skills, and appreciating beauty in nature. Our camping scavenger hunt can help you be more intentional about doing all those things. Just be sure to bring your binoculars and a few markers to scratch items off as you find them.

This camping scavenger hunt has items you could find right in your campground and things you’ll likely have to venture off to find. It’s a great activity for older kids to do on their own (just bring walkie talkies) and a sweet activity for little ones to complete with a mom or dad’s help. You could even bring our Leaf Identification Game printable and learn what kinds of trees surround your site. If you have a big group, like scouts, break up into teams. Whoever finds the most items gets first dibs on s’mores!

Love scavenger hunts? We have tons more here.

Fall is a great time to get outside with your family and explore. Temperatures have started to drop and in some areas of the country, the leaves are changing color. After months of sun and sweat, the dog days of summer have given way to shorter days and cooler nights.

The school year has also begun. Children are reunited with old friends and making new ones. They’re learning new things. Fall is an exciting time! Why not head out with the kiddos after dinner for a Fall Scavenger Hunt? If they’ve been working hard inside all day, they would probably benefit from stretching their legs. Or maybe they have a lot of pent-up energy that needs to be released before bedtime. A stroll around the neighborhood with our printable Fall Scavenger Hunt would be a fun family activity!

You might find there are new decorations in neighbors’ yards now to celebrate a new season. There might be new insects in the air or animals moving about. Why not explore the neighborhood with our Fall Scavenger Hunt to see how things have changed?

If your kids are home with you, maybe you’re looking for something to do in the morning right after breakfast? You could bring our Fall Scavenger Hunt with you on the way to the park or on a stroll to the coffee shop. It’ll keep the kids busy and excited as they look around. You could even send the kids into the back yard after breakfast as you load the dishwasher or sip coffee on your porch. We have items on the list that the kids can find in the yard and others they can spot as you walk down the sidewalk.

A trip to the city offers plenty for everyone to experience. There’s so much to see! From the pigeons strutting around a food truck to the man zipping along on a scooter to the noisy crowd waiting at a crosswalk, there’s so much going on. Your eyes automatically travel up to the tallest building and across every face as you make your way through the city. Whether it’s your hometown or a new destination, a city trip can be quite an adventure. If you’re on your way to a museum or simply making a trip to the store, why not give your kids the City Scavenger Hunt to make the outing that much more fun?

With their eyes peeled, your kids might notice more with this handy checklist. If they’re old enough, give each child a copy along with a pen to check off the sights. If the kids are little, guide them along the way by working on the City Scavenger Hunt as a team. Siblings can even work together to complete a checklist while you navigate the walk to your destination.

The City Scavenger Hunt for Kids can also be a game if you want to throw a little competition into your outing. Each item on the checklist is worth one point, but the bonus items at the bottom of the page are worth five points apiece. They’re a little tougher! Who will get the most points by the end of the trip? Challenge the kids to total up their scores on the way home.

There are a variety of city sights on the list, so your kids will get the most out of their trip to the city as they look around. Doing the scavenger hunt will stretch not only their legs but their eye muscles as well, which is good if they’ve been on screens too much. Have fun with the City Scavenger Hunt for Kids!
