When my daughter was a toddler, around two years old, she had a very high fever. I prepared a bath to cool her down, but when I tried to put her in the water she protested as only a toddler can. Finally, I said, “I’m the mommy. You need to do what I say so you can feel better.” Not missing a beat she said, “But I’m the little mommy and I don’t want to.”
Toddlers are pretty amazing. These tiny people have a determination much larger than their physical presence. They learn so much during this stage and crave to “do it by myself.” They learn to walk, talk, and relate to people. They crave independence. So with all of that in mind, we want to share these 10 ways to pray for your toddler. Prayer for our children focuses our hearts on their needs and wants. Most of these prayers address the immediate needs of your toddler, others pave the way for your child’s future.
